2.DBMS-Windows Lab

DBMS-Windows Lab in Computer Science & Engineering Department is located on the Ground Floor(Old Building) It has 55 P4 PCs with 512 MB RAM and 80 GB HDD. The PCs have a variety of software installed, and they are updated frequently (at least once every 3 months). To use the Lab any one having a valid registration can access DBMS-windows lab.

PC Lab in Computer Science & Engineering Department is located on the Ground Floor(Old Building) It has 20 P4 PCs with 256 MB RAM and 40 GB HDD. This Lab is for internet surfing  and project purpose.

All the machines in this lab are running Linux 8.0 with many additional packages and software.

Linux Lab in Computer Science & Engineering Department is located on the Ground Floor(New Building) It has 50 P4 PCs with 512 MB RAM and 80 GB HDD.

All the machines in this lab are running Windows XP with many additional packages and software.

 7.1 Programming Languages

           C Programming Language 

C is often called "Middle Level" programming language. The main features are portability of the compiler, standard library concept, a powerful and varied repertoire of operators, elegant syntax, ready access to hardware when needed, and ease with which applications can be optimized by hand-coding isolated procedures.

 

C++ Programming Language 

C++ provides a model of memory and computation that closely matches that of most computers. It provides powerful and flexible mechanisms for abstraction: that is, language constructs that allow the programmer to introduce and use new type of objects that match the concepts of application.

JAVA

Java programming language platform provides a portable, interpreted, high-performance, simple, object-oriented programming language and supporting run-time environment.
 

Visual Studio

Visual Studio provides the tools to rapidly design and build web applications Web Services, CSharp, windows-based applications, and XML web service.

 

PHP/PERL/Apache/ Mysql

 The  combination of PHP/MySql/Perl/Apache provides a portable, open source, high-performance, simple, object-oriented web development environment

Fedora Core 4

 The Fedora Project is a Red Hat-sponsored and community-supported open source project. It is also a proving ground for new technology that may eventually make its way into Red Hat products. It comes with full source code and oodles of UNIX freeware including the GNU C (and C++) Compiler, Perl and Tcl/Tk.
